Everyday I look around me and I see so much that is wrong with our world: pollution, xenophobia, global warming, violence, war, poverty, unemployment the list goes on, and I ask myself how I have contributed to the chaos that I see all around…and in all honesty I have found that in some way, one or two choices that I have made in the past, that seemed inconspicuous at the time did make a difference in the long run…
At one time tried to I count the number of times I have thrown litter on the ground (and had just told myself it was just one candy wrapper) and I multiplied that by 7 billion other people like me…and I realized that I had created quite a huge mess.
As you start this week ,here is a little food for thought…
Be mindful of the choices you make be they negative or positive, a little yeast leaven a whole lump..
No matter the negativity around you, choose to be the change maker,if your neighbors are comfortable with littering choose to be the exception and dispose of litter properly.
If there is xenophobia around you, do not perpetuate negativity, be a agent of peace and chose to love all races, religions and cultures..
A wise man once said:
“In the face of those who would visit death upon innocents, we will choose to save and to comfort and to heal. We’ll choose friendship. We’ll choose love. Because Scripture teaches us, God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love and self-discipline .” (unknown)
