It covers key aspects of leadership such as ethical egoism, leadership and utilitarianism, rights theory, deontological leadership, virtue theory, ethics of care and African ethics. It will certainly provide you with insightful views of the leadership landscape.
We will look at several ethical theories, discussing their merits and demerits
and their relevance to moral decision making.
Our case study in this short course will be Barack Obama`s key leadership traits. In my opinion, Barack Obama has always been a leader in a true sense. Even before becoming the 44th US President and holding 2 terms at the office, Obama was a prolific politician and was revered by the American public especially from his home state of Illinois and city of Chicago from where he was elected as Senator as well. It will be interesting to learn more about him in this short course.
