Welcome to the third and final part of our study on Aviation Medicine and Advanced First Aid. Whilst part 1 and 2 of this course dealt with the basics of aeronautical knowledge, introduction to legislation and rules, common medical emergencies on board etc, this third part of the course deals with the advanced medical emergencies and occupational health for air crews.
This course has been created to reflect current issues of interest within the airline industry. Additionally, links are provided to carefully researched websites which may be used for further information. This course will also:
- prepare you to handle a variety of medical emergencies on board an airplane, from emergency child birth, burn injuries and cardiac arrests.
- provide a good foundation for those medical practitioners planning to proceed to the course for the Diploma in Aviation Medicine.
Members of allied health professions also may attend the course if they wish
